Navgraha’s significance
It is believed that Surya (Sun), Chandra (Moon), Mangal (Mars), Budha (Mercury), Guru (Jupiter), Shukra (Venus), Shani (Saturn), Ketu, and Rahu are two nodes of eclipses, the solar and lunar nodes. Humans are believed to be affected physically and mentally by laying hold of these celestial bodies.
Grahas have a distinct function in Naadi Predictions and the Indian Pantheon. They do not belong to the Triumvirate of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva.
What was the purpose of worshiping Navgrahs?
Indian philosophy is heavily influenced by Rebirth and Karma theory. The seeker is told in Nadi reading the 13th chapter to perform services or Pujas to overcome the malefic effect; performing Pujas while simultaneously providing food and water to needy people enables the Paap “Sins” to be overcome and the Punyas to be improved.
The Naadi Predictions serve as a guiding force for encouraging seekers to perform the Shanti and Parihar sacraments in accordance with ancient traditions. Seekers are advised to follow the directions obtained from the Naadi Palm Leaf, with the guidance of a Nadi Astrologer. These predictions believe in the concept of Navagrahas, who are seen as mediators between the principal deities of a temple. Depending on their specific need, devotees may worship different Grahas, such as Shiva or Worshippers, who are said to be responsible for different areas of concern such as health, wealth or knowledge. Many followers believe that seeking blessings from a particular Graha can grant them their desired boon, whether it be professional gain or any other need.
